Thanks--hope to see you folks there! As always, you can email me at joe(at)supajoe(dot)com if you want to color any of my pieces or want to get in touch!
I have started a Patreon page! With your pledge, you’ll be able to support me spending more time on comics work in between freelance gigs, and start some long gestating comic ideas of my own.
First of which would be MGA GOSSIP GIRLS, which would be exclusive to Patrons. It’ll center on a group of background characters I’ve had in the book from the beginning, and it’ll be the Rozencrantz and Guildenstern of the Morning Glories Universe. It’ll be a bit more lighthearted than the main series, and you’ll see these characters interact with the main storyline and see some of the social structure at Morning Glory Academy.
Click here to check out my Patreon page and see all the rewards and such. Thanks for your time! www.patreon.com/supajoe?ty=h
Also, you can place orders and buy prints and signed & sketched in books at my Square Storefront: squareup.com/market/joe-eisma

It's 2015 and I’m open for commissions! You can preorder commissions for a convention that I’ll be at, or if you just want to place an order online to be sent through the mail, that’s fine too. You can find my pricing info here: www.comicarthouse.com/eismacom… (though disregard the 9x12 paper size—that should read 11x14). And if you’re interested in any of my original pages, they’re listed on that site too.

Hey folks! Sorry I've not posted in awhile--we're in the midst of a double shipping schedule for Morning Glories, and it's got me swamped. I wanted to take a minute, though, to mention what shows you can find me at throughout the rest of the year.
Granite Con, September 28-29. I'll be a guest for the first time at this show, and I'm really looking forward to it. Haven't done too much in New England, and I'm stoked to visit. I'll be there with good friends Nick Pitarra, Aaron Kuder, and Charles Paul Wilson III. granitecon.com/
Dallas Comic Con Fan Days October 4-6. Really regretted missing DCC this past May, but Fan Days was a blast last year, and it's looking like this year's show will be as well. scifiexpo.com/DCC/fandays.html
New York Comic Con October 10-13. I won't have an Artist Alley table at this show, but I will be doing some signings with Image Comics and possibly a couple of other places. I'll keep ya posted! www.newyorkcomiccon.com/ UPDATE 9-17:Writer Nick Spencer and I will be doing a MORNING GLORIES STUDY HALL: LIVE! w/ Matt Meylikhov from Multiversity Comics. Hey guys, I'm having a one-day only 20% off sale on everything at my art dealer's site. That includes original pages, covers, pinups, prints, etc. Sale ends at midnight CST today (Jan. 18)!
Issue 24 is now double sized--44 all new pages--not a single reprint page, and will be out the first week of Feb for $3.99. It'll be part one of the season 1 finale. Pretty proud of this one-- is kililng it on colors--he's bringing some serious cinematographer skills to this issue.
Issue 25 will also be double sized and be part 2 of the season one finale for $3.99
Issue 26 will be a regular sized issue, but will only cost you ONE DOLLAR!
Issue 27 will be the season 2 premiere issue, and will be double sized with a price tag of $3.99. And for the first time ever on this book, it will feature several variant covers from some flat out AMAZING artists. Some you might expect, some you might not!
Morning Glories kept on keepin on this year. We kept putting out oversized issues, and it helped me work on my speed. Plus, our volume 3 trade outsold every Marvel trade paperback the month it was released, so that was a great feather in the cap moment! And there's great stuff in the works for next year.
I also got to branch out for the first time in about two years. I had a blast working with Sam Humphries and the fine folk at Boom! Studios on Higher Earth #5. I almost didn't do the issue, but I'm glad I did. I enjoy Morning Glories, but it was refreshing to get out of the school for a bit, so to speak. I want to thank the editorial staff at IDW Publishing for hiring me to do several Cobra covers this year. Not only did I get that rare opportunity to do some covers, I got to scratch a fanboy itch. Also, I want to thank good friends Michael Moreci and Steve Seeley for the chance to do a cover for their fantastic book, Hoax Hunters! It looks like 2013 will be a year I'll be branching out to even more new projects (fingers crossed!).
So, thank you all for buying my books, getting commissions, coming to see me at conventions and signings, and checking out my art. Thanks to all my friends and colleagues in the industry, my retailer friends, readers, fans, and to my crew on Morning Glories--Nick, Alex, Rodin, Tim and Johnny.
Hope 2013 is an amazing year for all of us!
It's hard to know who the bad guys are when you're first starting out--publishers like these like to take advantage of naive new talent. If no one will name names, then publishers like this will continue their shady practices. I've not worked for them, nor would I ever (I'm not a fan of their content and I've had too many friends get ripped off by them), and I would absolutely recommend anyone I know read this journal before considering to do any work for them: garryhenderson.deviantart.com/…
Also, on Saturday, there's a big meet and greet afterparty at Dragon's Lair Comics in Austin, from 8-10, so don't miss that! Nick and I will be there with Tony Fleecs, Joshua Hale Fialkov, David Marquez, Rob Guillory and more!
This is my last show of the year, so if you want to get your books signed or get a commission from me, this is your best bet until 2013!
Oh, and still taking preorders for Austin!
My last two conventions of the year are coming up! First, the weekend of Oct. 19-21, I'll be at Dallas Comic Con Fan Days in Irving, Texas at the Irving Convention Center. The following weekend, Oct. 26-28, I'll be at Wizard World Austin Comic Con at the Austin Convention Center. Looking forward to both shows, and putting a cap on a great year of doing conventions. I'll have original art, copies of my latest issues of Morning Glories and Higher Earth, as well as lots of prints!
If you'll be at either of these shows, and want a commission from me, email me at joe(at)supajoe(dot)com for details. I hardly ever check the notes here, so email's your best bet!
Hope to see you folks there!
Hey folks--HIGHER EARTH #5, the fill in issue I did for Boom! Studios, is out now! I'm real proud of this issue--managed to fit it in inbetween script for Morning Glories. Hope you'll check it out! I've uploaded inked pages to my gallery here and some of the originals are on sale now here at my dealer's site.
And don't worry Morning Glories fans, I haven't left the book. Working on a new issue now, and issue 22 goes on sale next week! (10/10). One of my favorites since issue 10.
I'll update again soon with my remaining con schedule. Already booking dates for 2013 too! Stay tuned..
