Dazzler

took a break from inking commissions to draw this image i had in my head. this is marvel comics' dazzler, aka alison blaire. she's kind of maligned in comic fandom due to the fact that she was created at the height of the disco era. her powers--the ability to convert sound into light energy, didn't exactly wow fanboys.. haha i didn't ever read a comic with her in it until i started reading x-men in the late 80s, hence this very 80s influenced piece.

i always remember the 80s having a lot of neon, bright, oversaturated colors, so i wanted to play around with that. and i wanted to work from colored 'aper' as it were, so i just picked a saturated pink and colored right on top of that.
